It was the first day we meet with our people that we got assigned to! I am on Katie and Cassie’s team and I am honestly happy and excited! Then the elevator talk happened. There was cake, which made it a TINY BIT BETTER, but not completely. It went all types of wrong, then to make it worse there was a camera pointed at me the whole time. That was a my last social straw and I kind of blanked. It would not be that way if there was an actual elevator talk with one person in an elevator or even a poster conference, I do great with those. Shaken and tired I went home and laid in my sorrow of a failed elevator talk. Next time I’ll be much better though.
