Bradford Woods Experience

Welcome to my blog!

My name is Gerald Pineda and I am currently an undergraduate student at DePauw University pursuing a double major in Computer Science and Studio Art. I am excited to work on my first thorough research project. Here is a self portrait project I did for my Digital Art class.

The start of our program began with an interesting adventure to Bradford Woods in Martinsville, Indiana. It was a great way for us, as strangers, to get to know one another and be less likely to just spend our entire time isolated and on our phones. It was filled with many fun activities including the infamous Alpine Tower. It was the first time I ever did a rock climbing/rope climbing activity. The Alpine Tower was at first intimidating, but after the first time making it to the top, it made the next two attempts a breeze. Not only was I impressed with myself, but so were my peers.

However, I now have over ten mosquito bites all over my body and have been  dealing through it by diligently scratching them every minute of the day. Nonetheless, it was an amazing experience and the landscape was gorgeous. For those of you interested in camping, make sure to wear bug spray and please bring an umbrella (or else you will be soaked and bit up like me).

If you are having a bad day, things could be worse.

Much love,

G
