Chapter Ten of Ten: Final Chapter of the Summer

This is the final chapter of the summer.

Chapter 10 out of 10!

I hope you have enjoyed following my experience this summer.

If only you could have been here with me, as a I conquered all of my personal challenges.

I am glad that I have experienced this REU, and that I made a decision to pursue research in an academic setting.

What does it mean to be an undergraduate researcher in the Proactive Health Informatics REU?

It means that you are 110% invested in your project. You  have a compassionate heart. ❤️ And as Dr. Siek says, you will always “keep working.”

I would like to thank Dr. Katie Siek , and Dr. Lamara Warran for everything!!

My future plans are to submit our research to WISH, and the student design competition for CHI. I personally would like to explore different graduate schools and programs, and take on some industry experience. I want to be able to make a decision I am most comfortable and happy with upon graduation!

I also want to do more community outreach back home, and through my university. I want to be the best possible student, and service advocate! Anyone who knows me should have a sense of what I can accomplish, and what it means to have a love for technology.

All deliverables have been met, and the final step was to present our final poster. I am so grateful for this opportunity and the experiences that I have had.

I have been giving you my personal perspective from the palm trees of SC to the corn fields of IN.

Next up, is returning to my family and the beautiful palm trees of SC.

Hope to see you sometime soon, IN!
