A Few New Tools and a Home Cooked Meal

Hi all,

So we are back again for our third day in a row and today we will be addressing GitHub, ShareLaTex, paper circuits, and a bit about my day.

GitHub:

I have minimally worked with GitHub before today and let me tell you it as a resourceful tool that at times can be a bit hard to work with. Luckily, we saw some great presentations on how to work with the tool and had a few assignments that got us able to learn more about it. An intro link to GitHub can be accessed here.

ShareLatex:

Now this tool was brand new to me and is a tool that is an online LaTeX editor that allows real-time collaboration and online compiling of projects to PDF format. While this application wasn’t to hard to work with, it was still time consuming to figure out all of the new aspects to it.

Paper Circuits:

One of our last major projects for the day were paper circuits. I already have a bit of a background about the general concept behind circuits, but I had never created my own paper circuit beforehand and I do have to say it was fun! I am looking forward to working with the Girl Scouts on this next project! Here is also a quick link to a pdf on some more info about circuits that we received today.

Today’s Shenanigans:

Along with our day in the classroom a few of us spent some more fun together going to the pool and afterwards I was able to cook myself a nice big bowl of mac’n cheese at our great apartments!

Until Next Time…

Julia 🙂
